Friends as one of my blessings. I often find myself guilty of taking friends and friendships for granted, but a good friend reminded me that that's what friends are for. When things are fine and dandy, friends kind of take the back seat. But when a crisis happens, who's there to jump in the front seat to help steer you the right path? Friends. When a relationship failed with a boy, it was friends who helped me find myself again. When I found love, it was friends who helped me celebrate. When I gave birth, it was my best friend who stayed through the night to make sure I was ok before she left the hospital to go home to her children and husband. She was the one who kept my worried mother company and only delivered good news to her. She was the one who assured Justin I would be ok, because she had given birth two times already. She was one of the first few people to see Kalea for the first time. She is my best friend.
Good friends are hard to come by. And I am so blessed to have a group of friends I can truly call sisters. And not so long ago, I 'met' Kristen as she guested at CatScrap. Along with Danielle of Something Blue Studios, we three created About, and I don't know how it happened, but it became a sensation... It was like magic and everything just fell into place and was simply... perfect. Since then, Kristen and I have gotten to know each other pretty well and often share secret words or inside jokes as if we've been friends for years. Kristen quickly became someone I can count on. And now my online days are filled with even more giggles! So it was bound to happen... A collab was bound to happen. And it did!
Kristen and I created Count on Me, a digital kit about the true meaning of friendship and the importance of scrapping about friends. Bursting with gorgeous papers and over 60 fun coordinating elements (all with and without shadows) with two complete alpha sets (Scandinavian characters included) to match, Count on Me is ideal for friendship layouts to keep those good times cherished. Nearly all elements come shadowed as well as unshadowed. All elements and alpha are individual PNG files, and all papers are JPG files. Everything created at 300 dpi. You will receive 4 FREE quickpages with purchase! The links are already included in the downloads!
Also available is a 5"x7" Shutterfly-ready Quick Page Album created from Count on Me. Just add your photos and/or journaling, and upload to Shutterfly! A quick and easy gift!
Included in this album set are 20 pages (16 are with places for photos, and 4 are perfect for journaling, or dropping a photo on top), and 2 optional covers (both include a front, spine, and back). Covers are JPGs, and all other files are PNGs. Everything created at 300 dpi.
And of course some inspiration from the fabulous Creative Artists...
Everything is available in my shops at CatScrap and Two Little Pixels and Kristen's shop at After 5.
Grab them during the Digital Scrapbook DAy sale at 30% off Friday through Sunday!
Like what you see? Leave me a comment by the end of Saturday, November 7, and Kalea will pick three lucky winners to get your hands on the Quick Page Album. The holidays are coming up, and the album will surely make the loveliest and sweetest gifts.
Have a scrappy weekend, and I hope you get lotsa goodies to scrap with!

Thank-Goodness-It's-Swell! Staying up til 3 am carving my pumpkin for a contest has not only made me extremely zombie-like today perfect for Halloween at work, it's made my fingers extremely sore. So, as much my fingers are begging to make this short, I can't cause I have big news.
I am the featured designer for the October issue of Digital Artist Magazine (DAM)! I'm really blushing big time about this one! Imagine my surprise when I received an e-mail from Terri informing me of this! I answered the interview question in the most candid fashion so you can 'see' the real me. If there are any other questions you'd like to ask about me, please do by leaving me a comment, and I will be sure to answer them. The DAM website may be busy during the first couple days of a new issue release, so please be patient or, you can check back at CatScrap when it becomes available. I had a blast creating the exclusive kit, Frankie Love Hollie, and I hope you like it. Take a look!
Meet Frankie and Hollie!
My fabulous team had some good times with this one, check 'em out!

New in the shops today, Swell Set No. 4, on sale for a limited time. You can find it at CatScrap and Two Little Pixels.
If you haven't noticed, I tend to scrap with one focal photo, not just because I like it that way, but also because sometimes I'm just too darn lazy or short on time to edit many photos for a page. So to make things easier for scrappers and myself, I create templates to help jump start multi-photo layouts, like I have done for sets no. 2, no. 3, and the newest one Swell Set No. 4.
by Heather
And Brenda had some simple fun with the papers and elements
Have a great Halloween to those celebrating! Kalea insisted on being none other than, Tinker Bell! I shall be back with my little green sparkling glittery bundle of attitude later this weekend. Oh, and YAY! I won the pumpkin carving contest!
If you're in the mood for some Halloween scrapping, don't forget to grab Bugga Boo, on sale at Two Little Pixels!

I just have to rave and do a little plug for my buddy, Kristen's new kit, Modish. She describes it as fun, funky, modern, with a touch of vintage flair. What perfect combination for a kit, not to mention how well the colors mesh together and the coolest elements to match. Check it out at After 5 now! Here's a code for you to get 10% off, one-time use: love4shen. There's even a set of 'mess' that coordinates perfectly with Modish. Isn't it cool?!
And my little modern traveler... :)
Check out the Happy Hour at After 5 now!

It raining in Southern California today, and I was in bliss! Every time I tell someone I love rain, I get “Ewwww really, why?” And I say, “Cause it’s rare, and I like how it smells.”
Last night, I watched Marley & Me while the rain was pitter pattering on our windows and roof, and the mood was oh-so-right… Right up to the point where Marley was ‘sad’. It wasn’t unexpected, but I did not want to see that happen. I had tears dripping down my face as if I was standing outside in the rain. And it all made me think about our family German Shepard who we lost over two summers ago. He was a brilliant fellow and always wanting to play catch. And he certainly brought joy to our lives like no other. I still have difficulties scrapping photos of him, but I think I may try again…
Do you have photos or a tough subjects you have difficulties scrapping? Have you overcome that, or are you still working on the journey?
I have this popular paper collection with life prompts that can give you a jump start, Lifelines No. 1. Use this code and get it at 30% off at CatScrap and Two Little Pixels: LL1-30oFf. Good for one-time use per customer, expires Monday, October 19, 2009.
Here are a few pages I created a little while back using these...
Have a wonderful day, rain or shine!
