Need a Lifeline?

You know how you would like to ramble on and on about everything and nothing at all in your journal, but athe same time, you wonder if you should write everything knowing it would all be read by someone else one day, whether intentional or not? Well, I do wonder that all the time, and I do want Kalea to read it someday. Ramblings about life good, whether it be a favorite word of the day or some idiot that pissed you off on the road. On a company trip to Hawaii over 10 years ago, my 'group' had a word-of-the-day ~ foliage. Just foliage. Why? Because some folks in my group wanted to know how easy it would be to score some special 'foliage', the smoke-able kind. It was all fun and games when we were younger then, but somehow our tour guide came through with the 'foliage', the GUYS were happy, and the rest of the trip is history. 10 years later, the word foliage brings me this funny memory I don't think I'll ever forget. I had written 'foliage' all over my journal then, complete with doodlies of this 'foliage'. Anyway...

I'm Flattered!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to give you a quick heads-up regarding the current guest call... Although he should've won, thank goodness he doesn't have to sing that awful awful AWFUL song co-written by the most annoying AWFUL judge ever! Show fairies... Please make her go away. I may just never watch that show again cause of her or the fact that popularity wins over talent. If America wanted aa cookie-cutter winner, well then Kris it is! As sweet as Kris is, I hope he's not doing some show in two years like what's-his-face-is-with-the-gray-hair. But if he did, there would be an audience full of teenie girlie boppers armed with cell phones texting each other all night long...

I Don't Want To...

Kalea's new favorite words. That's what I get nowadays when I ask her to pose or smile for the camera. Of course I was disappointed at first, but then I snapped away anyway and got some fun and most importantly, memorable candid shots. Some have subject blur and are out of focus... But I've learned to say, "So what? Big friggin' deal!" Like this photo... Everything is out of focus, but her smile sucks me right in, and I love it because I remember being silly with her at that candid moment.

Super Duper!

I’m feeling a weird kinda high right now... Super duper excited cause I’m being featured at The Daily Digi today. (janet is an absolute doll! i gotta pick up some of her awesome templates!) ... Super duper nervous about what people think of Sprung... Mix that together, and I get a weird kinda happiness high I don’t experience too often. So you know what, I’m going to let it sink in, devour it all, and live the moment!

Another reason this has totally made my day is because Justin is in India, again. And again, for another three weeks. He left Sunday night, and yes, I cried like a baby when we watched him walk into the terminal. (just a little side note here: lax has GOTS to be the ugliest non-efficient airports i’ve ever been to!) He told me I had to put myself together cause my sobs were starting to scare Kalea and get her upset as well. So I put myself together as I drove out of the parking lot, but into a no-way-out path stuck behind a stalled van that started a loooooong line of cars waiting to get out. So we’re stuck there for a good 1/2 hour, which kinda let me put myself together from being so annoyed with being stuck there.

Anyway, please excuse my life tangent there. :)

I really really did have a blast creating Sprung. I take one look at it, and it makes me smile B.I.G.! Maybe it has a little to do with the fact that Kalea pops right out at me, but mostly I think it has to do with the bright beautiful spring colors and the fun unique elements I put together. I said somewhere before that fall colors are my faves because all the rich warm colors come out to play. But I have to say, after Sprung, spring colors are just as awesome, and they make me so happy! And what good is me being happy if I can't spread the happiness, right? I hope you all enjoy the kit as much as I enjoyed creating it.
