As much as I love Kalea attached at my hips, it’s so great to have the people we love watch her as I get some nice moments with my laptop and scrap a few. But I guess with always having a designer state-of-mind, I kept thinking I could be creating this and that but couldn’t because I didn’t have all my tools and supplies with me.
With Justin still on his trip (returning this Thursday, YaY!), us girls have been spending the weekends at my folks’ place in LA where it is at least 5 degrees hotter than here in Orange County. Kalea spent a whole lotta time with Brady trying to hug him every chance he gets, but he is a very active happy puppy so he was all over the place. We played games outside… Kalea learned to play hopscotch, but cannot really hop on one leg or even both legs yet, but she did her little gallop which was more like her trying to walk on tiptoes. And I attempted to play water balloons with her, which she kinda doesn’t get yet either, cause I popped one, and she cried cause I did. She gathered them in her bucket and treated them like eggs. She also helped me wash my car, which is something I totally haven’t done for at least six years as I’ve been spoiled by Justin doing it. But good thing I did cause I discovered a nail in my tire… It’s good that I discovered it, but not good that now I have to shell out $500+ to get a replacement on this run-flat tire. Bleh.
Anyway… Sunday was fun! We got invited over by one of Danny’s (my brother) friend’s (Willy) pool party, and Kalea would not get out of the pool once she got comfortable with her Dora donut. She was very hesitant at first, but she saw everyone having fun in the pool, she got in and everyone played with her. Pretty soon, she was just floating along, kicking and laughing. But I think the highlight of her day was Dot, Willy’s 6-year-old bulldog. I remember cradling Dot 6 years ago when Willy first got her. Now she’s like 60+ pounds of pure love. Kalea kept hugging and kissing Dot and started calling her ‘My Dot’ like she does ‘My Brady.’ We all had a blast, and she knocked out almost as soon as I put her in the car. So I took the opportunity to scrap a couple pages with Lulu & Rocko, which I think is the most fun I’ve had with one of my products.
Enough rambling from me, here they are. Hope you like ‘em. Have a fabulous week. I heard something the geico lizard said I thought was real cute… Goodbye you now! Someone tell me if that’s an AU thang or not! Hahaha...
