Hello, friends! It's finally starting to feel like Autumn around here, now if only we could have some rain so I can throw a log in the fireplace smell it all. Something about the mixture of rain and burning log makes my senses happy! But I forget we're in Southern California, so any temps below 70 is almost unheard of. As much as I love rain, I hope it stays away on Halloween day, cause my little munchkin is super duper excited to go treating as Ariel. We went to Boo at the Zoo with some favorite friends over the weekend, and this was her in the car (all done up wig and all), so so excited. Sorry for the bad photo in the car. What are your babes going to be for Halloween?
All our Halloween items at CatScrap are 30% off through the 31st, with special treats on the 31st throughout the shoppe. So don't miss it! I'm working on whipping up something for y'all as well. ;)
In other news... I have a new Snickerdoodle kit and fun Scruffy Alpha set in the shoppe today! Snickerdoodle is about my most favorite season, Autumn. What is your perfect Autumn day? Mine consists of rich colors, chilaxing/crafting/cuddling with my lil girl, hot hazelnut coffee or green tea with my favorite snickerdoodle cookies. The perfect kit to cozy up to, Snickerdoodle includes 13 coordinating papers, over 40 unique elements (mostly hand-crafted and drawn), and a cookie-like alpha numeral set to boast.
Snickerdoodle Kit (papers, elements, alpha) available here
Snickerdoodle Elements available separately here

And the winners for Snickerdoodle are... Heidi and Chantal, congrats ladies!!! You'll be receiving e-mails from me shortly! Thank you to all who participated. :)

Hello, friends! I hope you are all well, because I'm going a bit batty these days with deadlines, deadlines, and deadlines. I did not get a chance to even announce my Go kit from last week, so here it is. This kit really pulls at my heart strings, because it is about letting go (something I admit I do not do well) and hoping she goes with all heart heart... Go was inspired by this little conversation with my lil girl.
me: babe, mama's going to miss you when you go to kindergarten...
her: i will miss you too, mama, but i will come back, i promise.
me: but i'm not ready to let you go.
her: you have to mama, you have to let me go.
So I let her go and well, there goes my heart.
Go available here
Go includes 14 lovely papers, over 40 elements, and an upper and lower-case English alpha numeral set.
All papers come in 12"x12" jpg format, elements come with and without shadows in png file format. Everything proudly created in high resolution quality and presented in 300dpi for optimal printing.
Elements also available separately here
Papers available separately here
I also created a set of add-ons to the kit. Included are: (14) flairs, (16) 3"x5" cards, (3) wordart
All elements come with and without shadows in png file format. Everything proudly created in high quality 300dpi for optimal printing.

I have two new products in the shop today, my Kismet Kit which y'all saw here yesterday, and a new pack of super duper fun flairs perfect for your weekly pages and/or projects.
While creating Kismet, I felt as if the kit took me back to my childhood where things were so simple. Kismet is about no complications, just sweet sweet and innocent childhood bliss, and every sense of the term M.F.E.O. (made for each other). Kismet includes uniquely created pattern and solid papers, fun nostalgic elements I've collected throughout the years, and an acrylic old-fashion bubble alpha set to match.

Hi folks, how are you all doing? It's been a little wet here in Southern California these past couple of days, which is just the way I like it. :D I have always preferred rain over sun, and this little bit of rain is completely refreshing. I wish I could sleep in and cuddle with Kalea on rainy days, but I have to get up for work and make a living. Yes, I do have a full-time job as a corporate Graphic Designer, and I am only able to digiscrap design late at night when Kalea goes to bed. The next best thing to sleeping in with Kalea has got to be designing late night by raindrops pitter pattering on the massive amount of trees and foliage that surround our second floor apartment. But they can become distractions as I often find myself staring out of my window into dark space as if doing so will miraculously lessen the huge amount of things to do on my things-to-do list. So much to do, so little time! I'm sure you can all relate to that!
That's why I do certain things I do... I do all the hard work so you don't have to. I always spend a massive amount of time on my designs to make sure I give you the best I can. I spend countless hours on my designs, and I'm sure when I'm older, my mind and body will surely pay for it. But I love what I do, and I'm grateful I can share it with you, and that you like it enough to make it a part of your lives and in preserving your priceless memories. These torn bits are often the longest to create from star to finish. Like all of my products, they are all created by me by hand from start to the digital products you see. I often come across imitations of my products but most recently my torn bits, and while I am disappointed, all I can do is sigh and hope that people can just be unique in their own designs. And I try to keep in mind that coincidences can happen. I hope you like this newest pack, Torn Bits 4 available in the shop now, along with two other new products -- Quillies 1 and Furever Quick Pages -- all at 20% off for a limited time.
Torn Bits 4 is available here
Included are (12) layered torn bits with overlays, clipping masks, and shadows in separate layers. Individual pngs are also included. Everything shown in preview.
Quillies 1 available here
So I honestly didn't really know what to call these thingies. I mean, the craft is called quilling, but I didn't know what the end product was called. So I asked Kalea, "Baby, what mama is doing is called quilling. Can you say quilling?" And Kalea goes, "Quillies!" So there you have it, Quillies 1. Yes, the 1 means there are 2 and 3 and maybe even 4. Quillies 1 includes (8) hand-crafted quillies made by me. They would be a lovely touch for your pages!
Furever Quick Pages available here
(4) 12x12 png quick pages for fast and easy scrapping. Just slide photo(s) behind the png layer, and like Kalea would say, "All done!"
My awesome CT has created some beautiful pages using my latest products, particularly Torn Bits 4.
Ahhhhh... And the three winners of Torn Bits 4 are efinarose, Esther, and kyla. You will be receiving the coupons via e-mail when I wake in the morning. Congrats!
I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week! Keep an eye out all week for other chances to win my products on my Facebook fan page!

I am so crazy happy with the way this kit turned out. It's fun, it's whimsy, it's unique, it's for the special furbabies in our lives we don't scrap enough about, especially with the unconditional love they give us. Kalea's bond with all three of our pups is each unique in its own way. Brady is the youngest pup, always rambunctious, and just a big tough loveable teddy bear. So Kalea plays a lil rougher with him. I've had Joey since 2006, she is mine, and she is the oldest. She is a little rat terrier, always playful, always obedient. So Kalea always likes to think she's trained Joey to do things. Pandi is the middle furbaby. She's a little ball of loveable fur, but with a temper. So Kalea snuggles with her. These furbabies have brought so much joy in to her life, I wish we were with them all the time. But they live at my folks' place where they can run and play freely in a big yard, so we visit on weekends. A few weeks ago, we almost lost Brady due to some snail bait he got into. But he is well and thriving again now. I think that was one of the biggest sighs of relief I've ever had. It's pretty high up there, almost like after I gave birth to Kalea. So I feel really emotionally attached to this kit, created out of love for our furbabies. I hope you like it. :) Here's a coupon for an EXTRA 10% off the already reduced 20% price: 4ever10bg, expiring Friday, October 15, 2010.

Some gorgeous fantastical inspiration from my creative team!

On another note... If you haven't noticed who our new designer at CatScrap is, here she is... The amazing, legendary Nancie Rowe Janitz (previously of ScrapArtist)!
Like I said previously, I have been a huge admirer of Nancie for a very long time now (that's why I call her legendary!), long before I started designing digital scrapbook products. She is such a talented true artist, I feel like I'm now mingling with a celebrity! Nancie has several new products in her CatScrap shop today, and she's added some previouslsy released products in brand new brilliant packaging that are my all-time favorites. Check these sweet babies out! Wheeeeeeeeeee! I'm grinning from ear to ear!

Hey folks! I'm going to keep this one short today, as my mind is totally elsewhere today worried sick about our family dog (aka to Kalea as 'My Brady') who ate snail bait this past Wednesday night and has been in the ER since. All his tests are coming out normal, but he is still seizing. We really don't know at this point if he will survive, but it is not looking good. He is barely a year old, and I am completely heartbroken. So sorry for the gloom post today, I'm just feeling quite numb. I hope you don't mind me sharing a lil bit of my life. I'm hoping to do it more often than I have, as this world is just a much better place if we are all friendly with one another. :)
This is a photo of Kalea and 'My Brady' just a few months ago. She loves him so, and the feeling is mutual.
I still remember when we brought him home. Instantly, she said, "He's all mine?"
